What is a measured building survey?
A measured building survey records the exact layout and dimensions of a building. It gives architects, designers, developers and property owners a reliable base for planning work, extensions, refurbishments and space planning.
Before we start, we assess the building structure to find the quickest and most accurate method. That keeps the survey cost effective for you.
What we can provide
Floor plans
Floor plans for any building, from small residential properties to larger and more complex premises.
Elevations
External and internal elevations, produced with a reflectorless total station alongside a laser scanner.
Cross sections
Cross section drawings through any part of the building, so you can see heights, levels and how floors relate to each other.
Equipment and file formats
We use modern Leica survey equipment, including the Leica TS16 total station and laser scanning.
Drawings are supplied in 2D or 3D, in DWG, DXF and most other formats, ready to open in your CAD software.
Need the land around the building too?
Many projects need the site as well as the building. We can combine your measured building survey with a topographical survey so you get one consistent set of drawings.
